The basic process of home buying is simple and people tend to follow it, as if it's a convention. The buyer first short lists on a couple of properties that he is willing to buy. Then the buyer approaches the mortgage lenders who originate the loan. After the lenders take a credit report check, the underwriting process for the short listed properties is initiated. The buyer then pays the closing costs and undertakes the down payment, upon which the mortgage is approved and the property is bought.

Things to Know about College

Things to Know about College

College years are the most important years of our lives, something that I realized in the final year. These valuable years and time never comes back and believe me if you waste it, you will repent, just like me. While in high school when you wonder which college to take, I would recommend you to seek two important things, one seek the college course that you like and the one that suits you. Two, try to get a scholarship of a Federal students loan by focusing on your grades in the final years at college. Once you have gone through your educational scrutiny and have been accepted at a university or college, you need to start thinking about your financial support such as student loans, government grants and scholarships. This is just a small aspect of the financial support during the college. Upfront and frankly, let me tell you one important aspect of the financial support of college, do not take any other loan than the student loan and also do not take up any credit card, for fast cash and extra cash, do odd jobs or part-time jobs. Here's some advice for college freshmen.

10 Things to Know About College

Here are 10 things that I realized while completing my Bachelor's degree...

Enjoy the Course: Among all the important things that everyone will tell you is, of course, study. Well, I would recommend you something different from what most people have said. Enjoy the course work, this is the best way to learn. Attend all the classes and thoroughly read all the books right from day one. Do not make it monotonous and boring, but make it a nice habit. Now the significance of doing this is that throughout the year if you study for some small volumes of time and attend classes, then your subconscious will naturally assimilate the knowledge, you will be able to 'sleep on it' throughout the year and studying for an exam becomes a piece of cake.

Read and Understand: Instead of 'boning up', copying or just glancing at notes and books, read as much as you can. In fact when you read, you understand and thus answering any question in an exam becomes more of a reflex action. Focusing on reading and understanding will make the course work very, very easy. No I am not talking about locking yourself in the dorm room for hours together, but 4 half hour sessions of focused studies for the entire year will prove to be very successful.

Schedule: College is not just about studying your course work, but is more like a preparation for the future, hence make a schedule for the day and try to stick with it. Allocate time for all the things such as sports, friends, music, etc. Basically, start becoming a good person who values time.

Fitness: Put in some good habits into yourself regarding health and fitness right from the first day, small workouts or even playing something such as baseball or football for a short time every day will help you to stay fit. Apart from that a good healthy diet, with a good amount of fruits and vegetables and less alcohol will keep you in good shape.

Know about Professions: You will be of course be thinking about a career in some or the other field. Start reading about famous and successful people from the fields in which you will like to work. This will prove to be a great passion builder for you and subconsciously you will start working towards some or the other goals.

Connections: Be the nice guy or girl on the campus, that is do not get into fights and even any psychological warfare. College is the best place to start building your image as a great person. This does not mean that you need to be with your friends all the time, just don't think negative of any body and that will do the trick.

Pray and Meditate: The human brain needs solace in some place hence you need to meditate and pray or just take a walk all by yourself to be quiet and peaceful for 15 minutes every day. Note that it states your constitution on the right track every day.

Teachers and Library: Be friendly with teachers, not to do something bad but the teacher community always sets your brain thinking in the right manner. Indirectly your soft skills would be sharpened and you will of course develop the right clockwork in your brain.

Persevere: Among all the things you need to know about college, one thing that you need to know is to persevere. College is not just about getting education but is phase that makes you ready to out in the world, patiently persevere is the best key to success.

Define Fun: There is always a lot of gossip regarding parties and raves and how 'chilled out' a specific year is, well do not believe any of those. True you will have a lot of fun, but as of course, let it be decent and in proportion. There is nothing such as a college guilt free wonderland.

College is a great time for all people to not just turn over a new leaf but also mold yourself as a person, it is with effect a preparation for the future. Among all the things perhaps the most vital is to be yourself and enjoy yourself. In the process, you will find joy.
